 All the chemical substance are divided in two parts.

Organic 

Inoraganic. 

Organic substance is defined by presence of carbon and Hydrogen bond.BUILDING BLOCKS of life are 

1 carbohydrates.

2 Protiens. 

3 Nucleic acids

4 lipids.

Suagar is carbohydrates. 

Hemoglobin is Protien. 

DNA and RNA are examples of nucleic acid.

Cell membrane and energy storage is done by lipids.

These substances can be called as building blocks of life.
